What is GPL?

GPL means General Public License. WordPress is open-source software released under GNU General Public License (GPL). In fact, most of the top plugin, theme, add-on, and extension developers follow the GPL. At GOWPGPL, we provide files that are fully licensed under the GPL, just like WordPress.

Are the files and downloads legal?

Yes, all themes, plugins, and extensions that are distributed in our repository are open-source projects with the GNU GPL.

Are these genuine products?

Yes, 100%. We have active subscriptions to all the authors of the products featured on our website. We download from them and redistribute to you. The downloads are not altered in any way.

Is there any limit on the number of downloads?

Unfortunately, we’ve had to take another look at this because we felt the fair use policy was being abused. The limit is 50 per user/per day.

Are you the developer of these files?

GOWPGPL is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way related to third-party developers, including: WordPress, WooCommerce, YIThemes, Elegant Themes, WPMU dev, StudioPress, Themify, iThemes, AffiliateWP etc.,

How many sites can I use the plugin or theme on?

As many as you like. The plugins and themes are GPL-licenced, so you can use them as often as you like on many sites you choose. Got a friend who’s building a site? Share our plugins and themes with them. Seriously, there are no catches.

Do you provide updates to the products?

Yes. As soon as we are notified about an update, we download it from the author and update it on our site at the same link of your download area.

Will I get updates if I buy a single item? What if I buy a bundle collection?

Whether you buy a single item or a bundle collection, we provide 365 days of updates as the developers update their files.

Can I get a refund?

Given the nature of digital content that can be downloaded instantly after a purchase has been made; there is no “trial” or “grace period” after purchasing an item or subscription which means all sales are final. Once you have download an item, there is no way to “return” it. As such refunds cannot be provided unless we have made changes to these terms that materially affect you to your detriment. In exceptional cases, where applicable as follows, refunds are initiated. You can request for a refund, If

  • Until and unless you have not downloaded any item after subscription/items purchase.
  • Item cannot function (not applicable on non-compatibility issues with other author items).
No refunds for subscription based products.

How can you offer at such low prices?

All WordPress items such as plugins and themes are licensed under the General Public Licence (GPL). This means that once we have purchased the item, we are free to redistribute it if we choose to do so. Your items purchase and/or subscription to our site goes toward maintaining and buying subscriptions to third-party theme and plugin authors. This form of crowdfunding helps keep prices low, so we can pass this benefit on to you.

Do you offer technical support for themes, plugins, and extensions?

Due to the nature of our repository, we do not offer any support or technical support for themes, plugins, or extensions. If you require technical assistance for these tools, then we suggest that you purchase a license from the original developer or vendor.

Does GOWPGPL provide license keys?

We do not provide, lease, release, or resell license keys. All the products offered on this website are licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). You do not need license keys to use them in your projects, regardless of how many you need. The plugins and themes only require license keys to get automatic updates from their authors.

Why are these plugins and/or themes asking me for a license key?

Simply ignore these requests. Developers include them so that the plugin or theme can update automatically, and so that you can register for support. The item itself will work perfectly fine without entering anything in the box. We recommend updating your theme and plugins manually as updates become available on our site.

How can I hide license reminders or usage keys?

If you want to consider hiding the license warnings on top of admin panel, use a plugin called “Disable admin notices individually“. This plugin is free and very popular in the WordPress community. Make sure to check the official documentation for more information!
